Product overview

What it is

Step 1 · Cleanse. A water-based, soap-free lathering gel that deeply cleanses without over-cleansing. It lifts away impurities and excess oil while leaving the skin's own moisture intact — the after-wash feel is soft, smooth and comfortable, never tight or dry.

Why you need it

  • Cleanses without drying, irritating or disrupting the skin's protective barrier
  • Removes impurities and excess oil — a great option for oily and congestion-prone skin
  • Improves the skin's moisture retention from the very first step
  • Leaves skin smooth, soft and supple, with a brighter, more even look over time

A natural formulation — colour and scent can vary slightly between batches; efficacy is unaffected. Store below 30°C, away from heat and direct sunlight.

What's inside that counts
Free from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, C1 cleanses with barrier-friendly surfactants instead. Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate washes thoroughly while leaving skin moist and supple; Glycerin and Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) hydrate the outer layer and lock in moisture; Niacinamide supports the skin barrier and helps even tone over time; Aloe Vera and Licorice Root soothe as you cleanse.
How to use
Pump a sufficient amount onto your palm. Add a few drops of water and lather into light, soft bubbles. Massage in gentle circular motions over face, eye area and neck. Add a little more water and rub gently again, then rinse off completely and thoroughly.

Why this step matters

The morning version of clearing the way

Overnight your skin builds up sebum and residue. If your morning cleanse strips it all away, skin over-produces oil to compensate — and everything you apply after has to fight through the rebound. C1 clears without triggering that cycle, so your day routine actually absorbs.

What supports it

Gentle by formulation, not by weakness

  • Amino-acid surfactants (Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate) clean at skin-friendly pH.
  • Niacinamide and Vitamin C brighten while you wash.
  • Panthenol and Aloe keep the barrier calm — no post-rinse tightness.

Ingredients are the proof, not the point. The point is what your next step can finally do.

C1 — Gentle Lather Cleansing Gel

Good to know

Questions, answered straight

Is this suitable for oily or breakout-prone skin?
Yes — C1 is the lightest cleanser in the range. The water-based, soap-free gel clears excess oil and buildup without stripping, which matters for oily skin: over-cleansed skin usually responds by producing more oil, not less. It's also non-comedogenic.
How do I use it for the best result?
Pump a small amount onto your palm, add a few drops of water and work it into light, soft bubbles before it touches your face. Massage in gentle circles over face, eye area and neck, add a little more water, then rinse until nothing is left behind — residue gets in the way of everything you apply next.
Will my skin feel tight after washing?
It shouldn't. C1 is free from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and cleanses with barrier-friendly surfactants, backed by glycerin and panthenol to hold moisture. If skin ever feels tight or squeaky after cleansing, that's over-cleansing — use less product, or drop to once a day.
C1 or C2 — which cleanser is right for me?
C1 is the lighter, lathering gel: ideal for oily to normal skin and morning cleanses. C2 is creamier and oil-enriched: better for dry, dehydrated or mature skin and evening cleanses. Plenty of people run both — C1 in the morning, C2 at night.
Does it remove makeup and sunscreen?
It handles daily buildup, sweat and light makeup. For a full face of makeup or layered sunscreen, cleanse twice — or start with C2, which is formulated to lift makeup residue and grease.
Why does the colour or scent vary between bottles?
C1 is made with natural ingredients, so small batch-to-batch differences in colour and scent are normal and don't affect how it works. Store it below 30°C, away from heat and direct sunlight.
